- Take the PSAT (if your high school offers it for free)
- Update your resume
Junior Year – Fall Semester
- Attend college presentations
- Take the PSAT
- Decide on Top 5 Colleges
- Make a list of teachers/mentors/coaches that you can ask for a letter of recommendation from
Junior Year – Spring Semester
- Take the SAT or ACT test and retest if needed before August
- College trips to your Top 5 colleges
- Find out what essays are required for your colleges & write them
- Update resume
- Ask for letters of recommendation (2-3 recommended)
- Create your FSA ID for the student and 1 parent (SAVE THIS INFO)
- Take TSI if going to college in Texas
Senior Year – Fall Semester
- Apply to college
- Request high school transcripts
- Send SAT/ACT scores to colleges
- Apply for Financial Aid (opens Oct. 1)
- Apply for Scholarships
- Update resume
- Apply for housing once accepted to college
Senior Year – Spring Semester
- Apply for scholarships
- Decide on final college
- Sign up for orientation
- Get the 2nd Bacterial Meningitis shot and send the record to the college of your choice
- Send TSI scores to the college of your choice
