SAT/ACT Tests Part 2

So it’s been a couple of months since I wrote a post (can’t say sorry enough!) but I will pick up where I left off.

Reminder: Scores come in 3 weeks after you test – and this can be longer if there is a holiday involved.

[Scores are pretty important but what exactly are they used for?]

Great question! Scores can be used for acceptance (or denial) into a college and they can also be used for SCHOLARSHIPS!

Scholarships are free money and something I will talk about later but just keep that in mind, the higher your score, the better your chances are of getting a scholarship.

How will they get used for acceptance?

First you need to find out where you rank and then you will see what you need to score on the tests to get automatic acceptance to that university. See this admissions table from Texas A&M University Kingsville for example:

Ex: If you rank in between 11% and 25%, you will need to score a 910 on the SAT or a 15 on the ACT to be automatically accepted to this school.

Another important note is that the scores have to be sent from the testing website to be considered official. So please don’t lose your login because this is how you will get in to send these scores.
