I graduated high school in 2009 and went on to study Communication at Texas A&M University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013 and proceeded to get my Masters of Education in Leadership also from Texas A&M University in 2015. For the past 3 years I have worked as a College & Career Advisor at a high school and have loved every minute of working with my students.

The reason I started this blog is because college can be an intimidating adventure. It is so easy to get overwhelmed and confused by all the steps in the college application process. Not enough high school students or their parents are fully aware of what to expect or how to correctly navigate the waters. This is where I come in. Consider me your captain, AYE AYE!

I promise to break down the intimidating tasks and language into a sort of “College For Dummies.” I will answer questions to the best of my abilities and address common misconceptions. My posts are in English & Spanish because I hope to do my part to help close the education gap that is present in our country. WARNING: I am not fluent in Spanish and am working on it with these posts (so if you have tips, send them my way!)

I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog. I hope that you learned something new while you were visiting. If there is a topic that you would like to see a post on, send me an email.

Thanks & Gig ’em!
